“You see for me what I cannot see for myself.” Thank you to everyone for sharing with me your vision of what you would like to see for Carstairs. I am thankful for the tremendous support I’ve received & grateful for my incredible team of friends, neighbours and mentors in providing guidance, clarity and vision. I value you more than words can ever tell - you are family to me.
As I place my little signs up today I’m reminded my actions speak louder than words, and it’s ok to work quietly behind the scenes. I cherish the little interactions in speaking and connecting with each person one-on-one during this campaign journey. Like how municipal governments are the “front-of-line” government, I recognize this role means being a main point of contact, serving like a conduit - a communication thread - between our people and the government. I’m excited to return to my volunteer efforts & connecting directly with others, many seeds of growth and ideas have been planted in the last month.
I thank all their candidates for their hard work. It has been a honour to walk this path alongside you. I’ve learned a lot, and am a changed person because of my interactions with you and wish everyone the very best for today.
Although I was not elected, it had been an incredible learning experience and I am grateful for all the new connections and opportunities made. Looking forward to the future and all it has to bring.
As a volunteer, I am still open to hearing what you would like to see in town, feel free to send me a message or comment, or say hello if you see me out an about.
